Born on July 18, 1918, Nelson Mandela was the former president of South Africa from May 1994 to June 1999. He was also the first president to be elected in a fully representative democratic election. But before he became the president of South Africa, he had spent 27 years in prison, mostly on Robben Island for being anti-apartheid. The Judge had sentenced him to 27 years in jail on June, 12, 1964 and Nelson Mandela was freed from jail on February 11, 1990. Nelson Mandela’s famous quote was, “During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to the struggle of the African people. I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.

1991:

The Soviet Union was made on December 1992 and lasted until 1991. THE SOVIET UNION IS NOT THE SAME AS RUSSIA this is a fact that most people often forget. The Soviet Union dominated the global agenda of economic policy, foreign affairs, military operations, cultural exchange, scientific advancements including the pioneering of space exploration, and sports. The Soviet Union had 15 union republics in 1956, but on July in the same year, another union republic was added. But when the union was dissolved in 1991, there were only 15 republics that were left. But those republics soon divided into independent countries but some were still organized under the commonwealth of independent states.

1993:

The event that happened on February 26, 1993, shocked many people. This event was the bombing of the world trade center. When the world trade center was bombed, 6 people were killed and 1042 people were injured. Truth was, that the bombers planned to kill 250000 or more people, and to make the world trade center in New York City collapse. The people who planned this attack was a group of Islamic terrorists: Ramzi Yousef, Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman, El Sayyid Nosair, Mahmud Abouhalima, Mohammad Salameh Nidal Ayya Ajaj, and Abdul Rahman Yasin. They decided to plant a car bomb in the underground parking area, so that no one would know what happened, but all did not go according to their plan. But the real growth was in 1996-1997 when more companies started to use the internet. The term internet also has two meanings. If the term internet is capitilized, then it would refer to the world wide IP interet. But if the term internet isn't capitilized, then it would mean an interconnected set of distinct networks. *IP means Internet protocal which provides the service of communicable unique global addressing amongst computers.
